COCONUT FABRIC

Coconut trees are very useful for Vietnamese people in their living since years ago. People may produce coconuts fruits, not only for food, but also for essential oils and fragcent products. Some parts of coconut trees are used for household appliances and handicraft chores, while many other parts are produced to be fiber and to be weaved into fabric.

In Vietnam, people utilize almost all of the products available from the coconut tree: trunk, leaves, fruits and roots.

For making essential oils from coconuts in a traditional way, people use the coconut copra, put it in the heating stove to melt it, while they put the steam tube inside to extract the purity steam which it will be turned into the organic drops.

Nowadays, with more modern equipments, but still in traditional way, people make the Extraction system to get much pure and organic essential oils from the coconut fruits.

The innitimate usage of coconut

For textile industry, we are focusing on creating the Organic fabric from coconut fiber.

The products would be such as carpets, over coats, slippers, handcraft chores made from coconuts fiber. For healthy usage, we concentrate in the traditional production way, to clean up and treat the fibers in a very organic way under Oe-ko Tech standards.

Fibers from coconut fruits

In treatment proccess, we extract the fibers from coconut barks, then make clean the fiber by washing, drying and softening, and comb them well before weaving. Basically a very short fibers from 0.25-1mm, diameter 12-24μm have hygroscopic many (20.6%), to be put into the weaving machine.
